Ribbons & Seashells is a short emotive film which focuses on a father and daughter dealing with a recent loss in their family. The narrative follows a young girl as she tries to find colour - both literally and symbolically - in an otherwise black-and-white world, through the memory of her mother and the friendships that she forms. Set in the beautiful Strangford and surrounding Northern Ireland countryside, we filmed across three days in August, with a small local cast which includes four talented children at the beginning of their acting careers.
